Anyone know if you can get / replace the glass?

Best price I have seen so far for a complete unit is £140 + usual from http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/
They were at gti international & seemed good for genuine parts but didn't bring any with them

Annoying for the sake of a crack but there you go!
(and of course would prefer to buy from martyn!)

I have a receipt from the previous owner of my car that states 'O/S Headlamp Lense - £48 +VAT' No part number I'm afraid.

I was from Quattro Sports so I'm guessing you'll be able to get it cheaper

      Alistair,

the part number you need for the headlamp glasses are:

      895 941 115E for left hand lens
      and
      895 941 116E for right hand lens.

Dead easy to change, I've had my whole headlamps apart a lot recently, I'm up to something with them :-)

Each lens is £48+vat from the dealers or £30.58+vat from me +delivery.

When (and if) you do change them, when you refit the new glass lens, MAKE SURE you put the metal clips over the glass first!! then snap them down onto the plastic body of the headlamp. If you do it the other way round, the lens may break!!

Does this not depend if the headlamps are ellipsoidal or not ? My ABY has standard H4/H1s.

        part numbers would be different.

            Thank you Alistair!

I am trying.... not to be 'a parts supplier' on this board, as I do NOT want anyone to think I'm here for the business.

I am here because I own an S2 as do the other two (well one as Paul is still looking!) and I want to be part of the S2 'fellowship'

If I respond to a parts related question, it's because I know the answer and the price. If ANYONE objects to this, tell me and I'll stop.

Alistair, drop me an e-mail off list and I'll sort the glass for you. Martyn

I should think most people would agree with me when i say that any parts related info and pricing from you Martyn is more than helpful and i shouldnt think people would want you to stop!!

Especially as you give us good prices on parts.

You can answer as many parts probs as you like, as long as i get more discount!!! Only joking, damn useful as far as im concerned. I look at it from this point of view. They more i spend at VAGparts the more i save!!! And this leaves more money for
