    Instrument lighting

I might be fitting by boost guage this weekend, but I need to find a source of power for the backlight. I only want the light to come on when the headlights are on (as per the rest of the dash lights).
Can someone suggest where I might find a power source in the area that is behind the main clocks?

the main clocks are right near the fuseboxs anyway so you could tap into the connection direct from the fuse box?

hmmm, thats good point actually not ever wired up the backlight on mine.

Would it be possible just to stick in a terminal block on one of the lamp ciruits for the heater dial or the 3 at the base of the centre console to give power as mentioned before only when the sides/dips are on?

      Cheers,

Wouldnt use a terminal block, bit of a bodge in my opinion.

But yes can use that, when i took the battery gauge out of mine, used the 12V feed to the gauge to power my new one.

All you need do is tap into the connections for one of the bulbs and should be fine.
