Digital clock problems

Hi!!
i have some problems with my digital clock, the problem is that only in night i see the clock as i should. if there is sun i couldnt see clock, untill i start engine. it look like as the bulb isnt enought strong for this job (but the bulb ist the right one!!).
does clock LCD has its own bulb or is there only one bulb on the back side of cluster?
should i take lcd clock out and clean connectors?
any other suggestions?

problem solved.
i have taken clock out of closter and resprayed all conectors and so. so far it works is it should!
