Headlight question

Hi everybody.

One of the headlight fixing points on my offside headlight is broken. I have tried to fix it a couple of times but without success. So i will probably have to replace the back of the headlight. Now what i was wondering was if the back of the newer S2 headlights (ABY) was the same as the older ones (3B)? The reason i ask is there is some on E-Bay and it would be better to get second hand if possible.

I belive as long as the s2 headlamps are not the later elipsoid type then yes they are the same

Part number of the housing for the ellipsoidal lamp is different to that of the H1/H4

Does anyone have the part number for the nearside elipsoid headlamp rear/housing?

BE careful of ebay Ellipsoid lights, as i later found out there is a different part number for left and right hand drive cars.

3B = H4 ABY = H1 lights

You also need to do a wiring mod, pretty much covered on the forum.

The car already has ellipsiod lights. one of the brackets that holds the nearside one on has been broken and needs to be replaced. I had seen the older style (3B) on E-Bay and wondered if the housing was the same as the newer ellipsoid light (ABY) if not then i was needing the part number for the ellipsoid housing. Sorry if this was not clear the first time.
