    Oil warning light....

Don't actually know why i did not ask ages ago.....Get in the car, turn the ignition on (with the engine off) wait a few seconds then Beep Beep Beep and a flashing picture of an oil can. What does this mean,I was told ages ago from Whitehouse Audi (Dartford) that it was normal. Apparently it comes on because it is an oil pressure warning, and because the engine is not running it obviously has no pressure. Is this correct? Does anyone else's do this? Can it be stopped, cause it is annoying?

It IS normal, Dean. Cheapest fix to this 'annoying' problem is to get into the car AND start the car straight away, don't need to wait a few seconds, do you?

I wouldn't of believeed this unless Siena said so! weird isn't it? that's another thing I've learnt today. Well I'll be!!

I remember that the oil pressure switches if they spring leaks can cause this fault, and also the buzzers used to be really faulty on Mk2 Golfs, but never heard this one before!
