    Diff lights

    Rats.
My Diff picture on the centre console (next to the handbrake, in front of the Diff Lock button) doesn't light up the front axle now.

When I took off the console to do the short shift mod I thought I'd replace the bulbs, assuming it would be the same little bulb as the switches.

Oh no it isn't! It's a unit with little LEDs in it. Bah.

Anyone know where I can get another one of those from? Either the LEDs, or the whole unit?

They're not LEDs but normal bulbs just soldered inplace. Bulbs are similar to those used in car radios so ask some ICE install shop.
And they're same in window switches, mirror switches and seat heater switches.
I have a feeling that I've just told this in an other thread

My bulbs were also shot so I got new ones from a store that sells all kinds of electrical components (you know the ones that sell resistors, switches, IC:s etc.).

But that was not enough, since the transistor included in the assembly was also kaputt. If replacing the bulbs doesn't make it work, you might want to check the transistor:

Scroll down to "testing a transistor with a multimeter".

      The transistor is a BC 337/25 NPN-transistor.

I wondered if I could just replace the whole panel, anyone got a spare?!

Yeah, we've got some good "quattro weather" here lately. I guess I should get a picture taken of me doing some nice four wheel drifting

Since your "rear axle bulb" is still working there's probably nothing wrong with your transistor. All you need is one new bulb and solder it into place.

As for changing the whole panel... Sure it can be done, but at a price. My new parts (two bulbs + one transistor) cost me under 1 euro all in all. Don't know what a new panel will cost you from the dealer, but a lot more than that for sure (I'm guessing 70+ euros). You might get away with just buying the circuitboard from the dealers, but were still talking 'bout significantly more money than in my repair.
