    weird horn fault

havent had a chance to check this yet, but last night (very late!)the horn decided to sound all by itself! (sorry all my neighbours!) rushed outside & had to quickly find a spanner & pull the battery main feed. Any ideas? Sounds like a relay has stuck closed, but why the f**k it did it in the middle of the night

As with a lot of car electrical faults I will try for about 1 hour to find the fault then if unsucessful will rewire from switch to horn!

You've had this before haven't you? Here.
Guessing you never found the problem.
Why not try changing the relay? I may have one kicking around somewhere, will have a look in the morning (erm ! I mean this morning )

I have got a relay, in fact I have three
Anyway, it's located in the main fuse box, far left of the front row of relays. Should have "204" on the top.
PM me if you'd like to try it.

Thanx Jas, yeh I forgot it had happened before! Ive had quite a few weird ghostly electrical faults over the years on the S2!
ive just checked out the wiring, relay & switch -- nothing! As before, now there appears to be no fault & everything works as it should!
Ive checked the relay & it seems ok but I have a spare which ive swapped in anyway.
Its unlikely to be the switch side of the circuit as the horn can only operate with the key in, & this happened when the car was locked up!
Everything points to the relay but Im ******ed if I can work out what could make a relays contacts close for no reason in the middle of the night!
        GHOSTS!

thanx for the offer of relays
