    cruise control (sometimes) doesn't resume

    Hello all,

on my 1991 S2 coupe the cruisecontrol sometimes doesn't resume
Set & cancel works fine, just resume doesn't always work and the problem seems to become more frequent.

I seem to hear a clicking sound from the rightside footwell (as a relay clicking) when the resume doesn't work. It's the same clicking sound I hear when I press cancel.

It seems as if, on "resume" immediately also "cancel" is activated.
When resume does work I don't hear the clicking sound.

    Does anyone recognise this problem?
Does anyone know where the steering of the cruisecontrol is situated? (where in right side footwell?)
Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the cruiscontrol?

    Thanks
    Carlo

Don't recognise specific problem, BUT cruise control on mine stopped working when the microswitch on the clutch or brake pedal died. The cruise control system then thought I was always on the clutch or brake (which disengages the cruise control) so would always cancel my every effort to turn the cruise control on. Fixed by replacing the microswitch. Could yours be a loose wire or microswitch starting to go?
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...
