  • Front Fogs blowing fuses

I'm having a nightmare with my electrics at the moment. The H4 HID kit is going nowhere and now my front fogs are blowing fuses.

I've narrowed it down to the left hand fog lamp, but can someone tell me how to work out what is shorting?

I've put a meter accross the connector on the back of the fog light and it shows no resistance. This seems OK as the indicator beside it does the same. So it must be the wiring from there to the relay?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you have had the bumper or IC crossmember off the fog light cables could have been trapped. Put the meter between the +ve lead and earth, you should have o/l shown on a digital meter or total reistance on a analog meter. work your way back, yhe cables are tied to the cross member, they can wear against the A/C compressor and earth out.

Check the earths again and physically examine the cables etc.

    Good luck.
