    Key Fob Not Working!

    Hi all

Just went to go out in my car and the key fob has stopped working.

I can't disengage the immobiliser. The led light flashes on the key fob when preseed but nothing happens.

Does anyone know what I need to do. Is as if the key fob has forgotten my car is they a way to set it up. Anyone know what the problem is?

    Thanks

    Ian

Have you got a spare fob? sounds like the battery has gone low in the fob and lost the frequency of your system.

No I only got the one, will the light still flash on the key fob if the battery is flat?

I read somewhere about getting the code reset on the fob for the car but you need two keys to do this.

I only have the one key and one fob I don't know if this can be done this way?

Provided the red LED on the fob is still working so its not totally dead......

Take your current fob to your local electrical shop and get them to supply a new matching battery (without taking your old one out yet)
If it's anything like the Clifford Concept 60 I used to have on a car provided you switch the batteries over within 30 or 45 seconds (so it doesnt forget everything) then it "should" work fine.
At least in an identical situation mine recovered fome with a new battery! (with only one clifford alarm fob)

                Cheers guys

I removed the battery and just placed it back in again. Luckily it worked, I'm going to get some spares today, well worth having because it is so annoying when you can't even start you car.

                Thanks

You want to try and get a spare fob too....
It would be a nitemare to lose it and have no way to start the car....without removing the alarm totally!!
