Wiring for Porsche mirrors, to fit stock Audi Connector

are they an S2forum special order???!

Hmmm they do look nice and....

fit perfectly but if some of you remember, didn''t quattro king say he was selling these things WITH THE PROPER GASKETS AND ADAPTERS? If so that means that these mirrors were really RS2 mirrors andf not Porsches.
Anybody confirm that? Quatro King?

HEHE I'll go back to the garage later, I had to install a navigation on my SAAB yesterday so I didn't have any free time over for the Audi. I'll take some more tonight, but here are some from the first assembly:

Got it!

The purple wires where only on the right mirror, probably from a RHD car. So I just ignored the purple wires and fitted the connectors without any hassle. Later today I'll be going out to try the fitting to the car hopefully the cables aren't too long

Note that that photo doesn't look good, and the rubber base gasket isn't fitted. But It looks perfect.

Having recently fitted the RS2 mirrors and seen the 993 mirror bases i'd like to see proof of them being a perfect fit.

Eh, what's the best way to wire up the RS2 mirrors? I foolishly told Tim not to worry I'd wire them up as he'd not got round to it.

Do i need to pull 'em off the car or should i remove door cards to connect... ?

I do remember finding a quide as to what connects to what, sure I can find it again, but not quite sure where to start. Any pics of the install would be nice

These mirrors are 993 and they fit perfectly to the car without any modifications. I bought them from quattro_king here on the forum. Haven't got ahold of him yet with instructions for the cables though. Otherwise great deal

Prosty, how are you mounting these cup mirrors on the avant door. Have you some bases that are ok to fit cup mirrors to avant doors ? People always say only RS2 mirrors fit as you cant get the bases seperately ?

I've just removed the stock connector from my Audis side mirrors. The connector looks like this with all its cables:



Cables colors are:
White, Red , White/Brown, Black, Brown ( 5 cables total)

This is an image of the Porsche cables:



Cables colors are:
Black, Brown, Blue, White, Purple, Brown, Red, Purple (8 cables total)

These mirrors are from a Porsche 993.
I can't seem to find any wiring diagram for these mirrors. I've got this for the audi connector and RS2 mirrors:

But as you can see, this is not the same colors as I have, and there are 2 purple wires here too on the Porsche mirrors.

Has anyone done this or does anyone know which cable goes to which?
