These Porschemirrors doesn't have the same foot like the rs2 units, I'll try to fit them to a friends car and we'll see if it's possible without cutting into the door.

RS2 Coupe , I'm not sure about that, I know that you have to modify the door on the coupe to fit the RS2 units, but since I have an avant I'm not sure, Maybe I'll try to fit them on a friends car later on :-) , I'm currently trying to persuade a friend to get another pair from Barry.

you have to make them fit onto your car, seems logic to me.....

there is no such thing as plug and play, dont forget that.....

but they will fit at the end nicely if you work on it,i got nothing then good words from prosty about the mirrors, see my trader rating my friend, remember you were also interested in a pair of mirrors, but you didn't took them, why not?? not because i told you they fit right away, cause if thats the case, you would buy them from me,dont you?

Big to quattroking for my RS2 seats... Yea he is a good seller and he's got my word

BTW Barry I'll be landing in Amsterdam inbetween the 1-5 of April. Got room for me?

Prosty it would be cool to see a write up with step by step pics. I just want to be able to change back to my original mirrors whenever. Is this possible (understood cutting/removing sheet metal is involved)?

The only difference I gather from all these discussions is a slightly lowered angle on the Porsche units fitted to a Coupe door. Basically they droop a bit more than the RS2 unit because of the mount.

It had nothing to do with the mirrors. Like I said earlier. My car had several mm of paint where the mirrors bracket was suppose to go (the mirrors were removed when repainted) so the bracket for the mirrors kept sliding off. I had to remove the paint with a screwdriver, it took just a few seconds, what is the problem here, if you guys bought an S2 you shouldn't let a little grease on your elbows get in the way....

This is one of the easiest swaps I've ever did, and they look better than the RS2 mirrors, I've own both.. Yepp Quattro_king you told me that they were porsche mirrors and you assured me that they would fit without a problem, and they did, so I'm very happy. I don't know why people are saying this panzerwagen. Maybe they haven't tried to fit them, or they must be doing something wrong, I can make a how-to complete with pictures if you don't believe me.

I can do it as soon as I repaint them. Then I hope all this will remove any doubts that people might have.

I didn't do anything to the mirrors except the cables, but you have to do the same thing with RS2 mirrors too if you buy them. So theres no difference there.

PM me or mail me prosty@rackeltrim.se if you have any questions about this. I will return with a how-to later on.

If they fit perfectly on S2's

Then why are some here saying you need a special base to fit Porsche mirrors to Audis?
Lord knows I've seen her and other Forums about this.

These are stock 993 mirrors, no special adapters for Audi.Only a rubber gasket between the foot and the door.
