Yep and literally nowhere else on the planet it seems. Hella dont have and will not remake or provide any details, designs or tooling/moulds and all we have as an option is some chav spec angel eyes or ridiculously priced second hand or whatever audi found at the back of the warehouse. Refinishing of existing glass is not really possible due to issues with beam throw/spread after using a cutting compound on it. So really the only option is to find someone who will potentially make a batch for us.

I have made an enquiry...lets see.

Thread resurrection but wondering if anyone has found a source yet. Specifically I am looking for a driver side headlamp or headlamp glass for a RHD 1993 Cabriolet non-ellipsoid. An upgrade to Ellipsoid would be considered but I cannot find a pair of them either. A very nice car cannot get through an MOT for a piece of glass! I would post this in the Wanted section but for some reason cannot start a new topic there (new member issue? Long time lurker as you will see, but will be contributing more very soon)

Breakers or ebay. They do come up now and again. Ive sold two pairs in last couple of years.
I would start by searching ebay for cars being broken.

It’s just fecking ridiculous how bad Audi are with parts for their older model cars. It’s nearly worth keeping a look out for a cheap Cabriolet and using for donor parts you see them from £1500 and it’s nearly a £1000 or more for some good 2nd lights. Rant over if someone did come up or have a solution there would a hell of a lot of people interested

Thanks all for your responses. Yes we have considered buying a scrap car just for the headlamp! Almost cost effective. But most breakers are not selling the whole car, too wise for that one. Will keep trying ebay or go the ellipsoid route as there are a couple of pairs fo those but ropey and ££££

                Crazy.

I have a box full of non ellipsoid lenses (both sides) if it’s just the glass you need.
