  • VCDS Fault codes

Hi did some tests in VCDS,

    3 Faults Found:
    00515 - Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40)
30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent

00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation
    08-10 - Control Limit Surpassed - Intermittent

65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
    00-00 - -

    - First run I only got the "engine rpm speed sensor not working/running" - which is probably because the engine was off.
    - Second run I got no codes
    - Third run no codes

So I took a drive and did some hard pulls, a bit stuttering(probably some boost leaks but not that bad, just some minor hickups while pulling in 2nd/3rd gear).

Came back and took 2 vcds auto-scans and the results was above.

Lambda is broken? The G40, is that usually something that breaks on old car or?

Oh just read on the lambda, several things can affect it. Like boost leaks then, probably those, injectors maybe / fuel regulator?

If the cam position sensor is working intermittently this can cause issues. I’d start with a boost leak test though.
