For the yellow connector above;
1 = Vehicle Speed signal - to pin 20 (brown/red) [blue 26-pin connector]
2 = Temperature sensor - to sensor pin 1
3 = Earth
4 = Illumination - to pin 5 (grey/blue) [yellow 26-pin connector]
5 = +12v - to pin 16 (black/blue) [blue 26-pin connector]
The temperature sensor is connected between earth and the display, I don't think it matters which way round it's wired.
on the sensor:
1 = to display
2 = Earth.
