Another cause can be the slipring on the back of the wheel can fail,very rare but it happened on my car

Vcds is the tool to use. I think there is a code for ”lamp broken”. Even when a new lamp is replaced the code remains and has to be deleated.

Morning, I have the same problem, however my RS2 is 26 years old and the air bags have a shelf life of about 15 years. I was told they can re gas the unit, as there are a couple of companies who do the re gassing.

The airbag light is constant on , it will not turn off.
Why is that ? What different causes can it be ?
When i bought the car it was disconnected.
I had the battey of when i connected it.
There is still red light.
I have maxxecu.
Its not possible to check with VAG tool then or is there a special ecu for the airbag ?
