    A very discouraging petrol gauge......

Hello folks, this one has been into audi, with no repair.....

I you give the car any stick after half a tank of fuel is left, the gauge and range drop to empty almost immediately, and starts beeping.

fill it up again and you can rely on a full or mostly full gauge, but when it gets to about half full, same thing happens again. Being as my other half shies away from petrol stations, I am getting undue attention to fill the car up all the time.
Earplugs only work until she notices!

Misery loves company, and where I am misery is 89.9 per litre, although my car is currently somewhere in the midlands being piloted by my better half so she can pay today, result!

havent had the car all that long, and the problem was part of the car, although I have receipt to show audi did change the sender to no avail.
I first have to replace all bushed, mountings, etc before attending to it, as this car is c**p to drive currently, lurching etc.
All I can say right now is that it really only take 15 seconds of heavy loud pedal, even in a straight line, to upset it, which makes me think of a relationship between the fuel com puter and the gauge being at fault.
Does anyone else have this grief?

                6000 miles

i think mine is a fuelling problem though

Well, there is only one thing to do

I will suffer it until I figure out what lpg bits will power this properly, fill it 3/4 full with petrol, and watch the (petrol) gauge stay still.

How many have gas fitted, and how many are happy with it? There are a few options I have, and I and trying to avoid 1injector/cyl for reliability.

Got to fix suspension first though......

The gauge is quite amusing, as it sort of points out a very obvious fact, loud pedal means fuel usage!

Your fuelling issue is largely due to the fact your carrying about half a ton in tools in the boot.
(but there are a couple of other issues also )

my newfoundland likes it in the back, he's 12 stone and doesn't pay the petrol either..

I drove it like a grandad from peterborough to telford( 176 mile run I did) and used 26 litre of 95ron. This driving made my right foot ache..

However my house to birmingham centre..not like a grandad.. 38 litres 118 miles.

has anyone here worked out perpetual motion yet?
