Stupid Key Fob!

Just tried getting into my car today and the key fob isn't working.

I had a look at it and the LED on the key fob was on all the time, I removed battery in the key fob and changed to a new one, the led is now not on all the time but it still will not unlock the car.

Anyone know what I need to do.

Is this the genuine Audi remote central locking or an aftermarket one?

Is there anything in your owners manual about synchronising the locks Ian?
The S4's one has a section on it but it's at home at the mo.

I had a look in the manual but I can't find anything.

Someone must know how to do it, hopefully it should be pretty easy

What was to stop you using the shiny metal bit attached to the keyfob that inserts into a shiny metal slot on the door ?

Or am I missing something ?

My key fob is separate to the key. I could get into my car with the car but couldn't disable the immobiliser.
