Clifford alarm advice needed! Clifford Concept 50 needs to be silenced!

    ok guys.
Ive got a BMW 5 series (classic) that I bought recently for a project and it has a clifford concept 50 on it.
My plan was to sorn it and carry out some work I have planned on it and to do this at my leisure.
Unfortunately the battery appears to be poor (or the alternator is not charging it properly) and the battery now will not start the car.

This is a problem I can fix as soon as I have time but the clifford concept 50 iirc will start going off when the battery goes fully flat and will use it's backup battery to power the siren and earn me an ASBO from the neighbours

Does anyone have any good suggestions to put the alarm into a permanent sleep while the car is off the road please?

As in so the siren will not go off even if the battery is removed from the car. I dont have the Valet code for the alarm but have both clifford keyfobs (working) and nor do I have the installation wiring diagram for this alarm Does anyone on here have it please that they could email me? I have the Clifford Concept 300 install manual but thats a newer alarm and is wired differently I believe.

    All help appreciated

Did you get a metal cylinder key with the car / alarm?

won't putting it into "valet" mode prevent it going off ?, I think unlock and * on the remote, would have to dig out my manual to check, also I have a cliffnet cable that can be loaned if necessary

I know that I got mine for free, but I cannot remember which of the sites that came up on Google that it was! Sorry.

              No metal cylinder key unfortuntely
Though Ive checked on the alarm itself and in the manual and cant see one for this alarm. But I could have missed it!

I have managed to get a wiring diagram for this alarm though (had to buy a 24hours acces to the manuals site) so if anyone has a burning need for their alarm manual let me know and I will try and download it while I still have access. (till 6pm today)

After grilling the Clifford user manual and buying the wiring diagram... I still cant find anyway to reset the valet code though
and unfortunately its not still on the factory default one!

Anyone got any ideas? (removing the alarm is now on my list of possibles though it seems a bit extreme as the alarm works perfectly)

What about a battery conditioner, I think its carflo or some name similar. Lots of my customers use them, just leave it plugged in all the time.

Cliffords are brilliant untill you get problem.

I could if i had a spare one mate but the size of the one for this car is mahoosive! and I reckon the price will be not far off a ton as its an ultra heavy duty beastie for air con etc !!! so I dont fancy buying another just to keep swapping and removing them

                    cheers for that idea Rob.
I may well look into buying one of those ASAP. THough I'm waiting on the leccy board to hook up mains power to my garage (its in a row of garages off road) so until then Im spooged for power outlets
Nothing worse than no mains in both garages!! (mine and one a few down I've conned my neigbour into renting me!)

                    Onto Plan number 3!
Ive removed the battery....and the bloody alarm didnt go off after all that
it seems from the manual that " if the alarm is in an unset state when your chauffeur removes power from the 'vehicule', the alarm will remain like this until power is restored and you re-set it from your lovely fake carbon Clifford keyfob" or something like that!

So, fingers crossed it wont start wailing on its back up battery in the middle of the night.

And about cliffords being great until you get a problem. I couldnt agree more. I used to have a concept 50 on a 205 git I used to own and it developed a fault and was an effing nitemare right up until I removed the siren from the car!

Luckily this one seems to be in charming good health so far
