Unfortunately, it didn't work. "Have you checked the fuse?" he asks, to which I reply "Well the indicators are working - can't be"... a quick bit of education later, and he donates a 15A fuse to the cause and I had working hazards.

It's been a while since I felt like such an idiot

Good news is, she passed the MOT with only a note that one of the CV gaiters is deteriorating. I'll add that to the list then.
Don't feel too bad Ross, I'm sure many people have done the same.
    I know I have

My diesel failed its m.o.t. on the fog light not working. I was convinced it was the switch as it was illuminating but the fog light wasn't.

2 second hand switches and 1 brand new one later I was starting to panic so I booked it into a garage. I had just left the car at the garage when I phoned Ben (S2Avant), the first thing he said was "Have you checked the fuse?"
5 minutes later I was back at the garage asking if they had a fuse.

    MUPPET

    Cheers.
    Matt.

Precisely why I wanted it on the vag-com

Missing fuses and relays on a newly bought car are different
