therefore it can very be this well. You have some photo to show where are these senders? How and that I can test my ECU?When I give to the key the car of to the start engine and the motor wheel and has gasoline, it does not arrive exactly and only it sparks ace candles!Someone said me that he was of the ECU that was not to give signal for reels. I know that pin 1 is what it orders the signal for reels as is that I can know if is to send the signal or not?

It is not likely to be the ECU, it is much more likely to be the Hall sender, there is alot on here about that, do a search for "hall sender"...

Greg posted a couple of links, these would be a good place to start, although the hall sender in the 3B is inside the distributor cap, it is different to the ABY engine.

Therefore I do not say that he is not of the hall sender but would not have to give to test the ECU through blink codes? He has some way to test the hall to sender? How for example measuring with a multimeter or another way?

What I really want to post is as follows -

heth-eth-eth-eth-eth heth-eth-eth-eth sminky pinky channel 9 julio jordio and meteorlogicus paulo fish - "scorchio" !

Sorry for bad british tv humour there - had to get that out of my system... To be more helpful...

I doubt the problem is with ECU. Please check the following items first for any 'no start' condition:

                - That ALL fuses are in tact - check http://S2central.net for list of engine related fuses on the 3B engine

                - Pull blink codes or use VAG-COM. Again check s2central.net for how to do this and check fault codes

                - Check that HT leads and rotor arm are in good condition

                - Check that the rotor arm (inside distributor) is rotating

                - Check the firing order of HT leads is correct (1-2-4-5-3 from memory)

                - Check that fuel pump is operating and supply good pressure to fuel rail

                - Check cylinder compression

                - Check ALL electrical connectors are in good condition in engine

                - Check for presence of good signal from HALL Effect sensor at the distributor - without this signal, the ECU cannot start the engine

                Hope that helps,

It is thus I on condition that bought this car not to be to work therefore always liked very this car. I when I bought it it it was in a workshop and already the question of the compression and the gasoline was seen that is all good. Also it was in a electricista that said that the ecu and that was not good therefore did not arrive the signal reels it that in turn it did not order sparks it for the deliverer. Therefore it does not leave chain reels. Therefore I liked to test the ecu signal. How can I do it?
