1991 Coupe S2 Ecu Wanted 3b Engine

Hi all
Posted before about this subject of ECU WANTED for 1991 3B engined S2 Coupe, Unfortunately, the replys i had were way over the top on price.

Please, Please, Please, has anyone got a "STANDARD" unmolested ECU i can buy that is less than £250, " I dont want offering a Superchipped one that has been played about with as previously offered" after all we are talking about an ECU thats at least Sixteen Years old.

I have the Funds ready to buy one, but i am not prepared to pay daft money for one, i might aswell get a new one from Audi otherwise as i have priced one up.

So if anyone has an unmolested ECU please pm me.

As i said David,

The 3B ecu is getting very rare and harder to come by, thus making them valuble.

Unlike the aby/adu/ann and others that run coils which can all be inter change and these still sell for about £200+

3b Ecu Required For S2

£200+ Sounds better than what i was hearing on my last post when i was getting figures of around £350.00 from two members, they are actually £505 pounds now from the Stealers, even Vag parts cannot do them cheaper as i checked yesterday.

If i get offered a good one at the £200 mark, i would go for it, subject to it working ok of coarse!!!

Well, the dealer prices have definately come down a HUGE amount from when I was trying to get an ECU around 2 years ago... When I wanted one, there was possibly one available from the EU dealer network in Germany, and they wanted 1400 GBP, plus my old ECU...!!!! (but did include VAT)
at 505 I would buy new, no question...you would get a guarantee with your unit, and know it to be new and working... That is infact if they can supply you (they also told me, it might not be possible to get it)
If you were replying to my offer of 350, I was commenting that there was a German ebayer who regularly sold them for 350 Euros, which is what 265 GBP?
Anyway, good luck with your search, remember, you can use an ECU from a 3B engined 200 as well....

I have just had a quick look on Ebay germany.. there are a few for sale... one has a buy it now price, but might not send to the UK, and you would need some way of paying him...

This is a small problem with lots of German ebayers, but most are open to negotiation...

I would have said the going rate for a healthy 3B ECU is about 250 GBP in the UK. Maybe they are cheaper in Europe... but its a rare item... I have a spare one, modded with proven generic upgrade (270-280bhp and 410-430Nm) and the obligitory 2.5bar MAP sensor that I could sell on if required. Its fully working but honestly hasn't been used in a long time so its almost redundant. Could use the money for something else if I'm honest !

Since the S2 3B ECU worked in one of my 200q 3b Avants, I will conclude that a 200q 3B ECU will also work in a 3B S2....
