    Electrical trouble

    A strange thing occurs.
With the current, below zero, temperaturs in two days the battery of my 1991 S2 is absolutely dead. No ppower left what so ever.

During summertime it takes about 2 weeks for the same result.
Yes, I know about batteries loosing power due to temperaturedropping.

Problem is, I don't measure any power drain.
I took of the +-pole of the battery, put my multimer in between and measured 0.01 A powerdrain, meaning between 0.005 and 0.015A as this was the smallest range my meter could do.

I could do with suggestions, this phenemoenon has cost me 4 batteries in 2.5 years!!

    Suggestions??
    No power, no glory!

If you drive only short distances the alternator hasn't got enough time to load the battery as much as the starting took away. If this is your situation, load the battery every now and then.
Empty battery and sub zero temperatures don't mix. The battery freezes and that's the end of it.

Try a proper battery, Bosch silver or Varta or something.

Change the alternator voltage regulator if in doubt of too low system voltage, It's cheap. You can buy 5 for a price of one battery
