Went to turn on my headlights the other day in my CQ and nothing. No Low beams, high beams or fogs. If I pull on the stalk as if I was going to flash my high beams they flash on but nothing stays on. Thought it might be a relay but can't seem to find the relay in my Bentley. I don't have higher wattage bulbs. Checked all fuses none blown, looked at the map for relays and there isn't one for the headlights the only light relay is the fog light relay. So checked the switch on the stalk it's good. The relay for the fogs is good so I'm running out of options. Any other ideas

Do the sidelights work? (Not sure if you have side lights over there though - maybe DRLs)
Also do the wipers work? Strange question I know, but if not then your probably looking at the x-relief relay. It is relay 5 in the under bonnet fuse box. Part number is soemthing like 357 906 381 B.

If you have the Bentley schematics, you should be able to determine if the stalk switch and main/dip/flash switch are working OK. Just use a simple voltmeter and follow the terminals where you should see ~12V.
Post more Q's here if you need help buzzing thru the Bentley schematics - I have them here for 80/90/CQ USA models. What year is yours - L or M ?Paul Nugent
