Rev counter gets its feed direct from the ecu.
    Its a pink/purple/lilac colour wire
The pinout is on Pauls s2central site

I'm wondering if its a dry solder joint on the back of the s2 rev counter guage that could be causing this?

Hmmm would also be interested in knowing which pins in witch connector in the back of the instrument cluster that has to do with the rev counter. Tried to find it at pauls site but did only find the schematics which dont say that much to me.

          Edit: Its for a -92 s2.
