[Flat on my back]

Okay a few bodywork answers i need before making some big mistakes:-

1.the front and rear bumpers from the coupe and S2 coupe only fit coupes, they cannot be fitted to the Avant at all, or a B4 saloon?

2.the bonnet on the late coupe and S2 (with integral grill, i know just making sure) can be used on the Avant or a B4 saloon?

Any part no.s for the above will also be of great help.

bonnet can be changed
on my 80 avant 1.9 TDI i used a coupes bonnent when the local wildlife thought it funny by sitting/stannding on my bonnet on a drunken friday night...........now it sits with the 90 front end


the bumpers i got a 4 cylinder coupe bumper wanted to fit to my F REG 90 quattro...............finding that its not fitting MIGHT be cos bumper for a 4 cylinder and 90 is a 5 cylinder


hoping others can answer this for me as well

the bonnet is the same across the range of all b4 saloons, coupes and avants.

The coupe bumpers will fit all b4 models across the range. Coupe bumpers on avants look nice

1. front bumper fits all same with rs2. Rear bumpers i'm not sure 100% are you still after that bumper for your project? if so I know where there's one.

2. The bonnet will fit but you need the 3x panels that make the slam panel. If you are changing to the later headlights remember if its ellipsoids you need the trim from underneath.

Project car is B4 80 V6q, wiv dented front end. So it needs bonnet, wings (maybe new?), slam panels and bumper.

Elips. preferred.

I've got a contact off ebay with late coupe parts so i need to make sure they will fit and its in met. green.

Coupe rear bumpers will not fit saloons or Avants, front ones will interchange and so will bonnets. wings don't change from coupe to saloon/avant either

iirc there was a thread that proved that coupe wings are slightly different than ones from a saloon/avant

Sorry very badly worded, I ment you can't change from one to the other with the wings, its the centre trim segment that are different.

The trim that goes down the side is different, sport one's have small grooves for the trim, coupe etc has the larger trim on it.

Also putting b4 wings on a b3 will look odd as the front wings will be flared out whilst the rear will not be.
