    Help! Broken wire in hatch......

How in the hell do I get to the wiring loom in the hatch!?
Ive already cracked a trim piece to see if it hides there. Any tips or warnings would be appreciated.

Ive got this job to attempt too and have been putting it off because I had the same problems. I'm hoping someone has done this before?

I had broken wires going to the hatch in me old coupe. Demister and rear wiper not always working, Found broken wires under cable grommet into car body.
Had to resolder them all but saved me from trying to get into the hatch trim
      Might be worth a look

      cheers

Is this obvious when you take the rubber boot off, or do I need to strip off the loom protection tape? Mine looks perfect under the rubber boot...

I don't want to cut the tape off needlessly.

          Thanks,

This happend on my last RS2 too.
Fortunately my problem was also in the rubber-flexi-hose-thing, so I managed to just insert new sections of wire.

Gents, did you have to take off the original loom insulation tape to discover the fault or was it obvious as soon as you took the rubber flexi sleeve off?

                Thanks,

                  I can't remember Steve...
I can dig out photos when I get home from work, but I suspect I only started taking pictures after I cut the wires.
                  en inside the sleeve)
IIRC I was convinced that the problem was in the rubber sleeve. In fact, I think i pulled one of the wires out one end of the sleeve (it had properly broken inside the sleeve). So I just cut all cables to get to the problem area inside.
