Typ85 indicators defunked

Hi all again,
My indicators have stopped working for whatever reason. I have checked the fuses and now changed the relay to no avail.
I have heard that sometimes the hazzard warning light switch can cause this or sometimes the indicator stalk itself. Any experiences of this or what else it might be?

have you tryed bypassing/removing the hazard switch? i will have a look through the workshop see if i have a spare one if it is that.

Had similar problem on my coupe gt,took the hazard switch apart after finding that was the culprit and bent in the contacts and the gave them a clean,seems to be holding up for now.

Bought new relay from GSF and fitted it. No change.
Went to mates having bought second hand hazzard light switch and indicator stalk and fitted them.
Still no indicators which left us a bit mythed.
Friend had a closer look at old relay and there was a contact broken off inside.
Bought another relay and fitted that. Hey presto, indicators all working now.
F**king GSF parts. They really are *****.
At least sorted this problem now. Just alarm and bosywork to sort out now.
