    2 rear fog lights?

I went to look at putting in a 2nd rear fog light today, and discovered that I don't even have the socket
Is it just a case of getting the socket and wiring it in, or is it recommended to replace the light cluster too?

    Thanks,
    JB

Just fitted the 90 rear plate to mine and the plug was already in the harness.
All i had to do was knock out the hole cover in the rear light and fit a bulb holder (thanks Nuvo ) & roberts ya fathers brother.

That has bugged me for a while... I have no freaking idea why Audi didn't give us two rear fog lights.

I know the UK legislation says you only need one, and it must be the 'offside' nearest centre of the road. My understanding of laws in EU countries is they also only need the 'offside' foglight fitted.

So its quite normal on German & French cars to find that what they do is add a 2nd foglight at the rear for cars destined to UK so they get the correct offside light - but on the Audi Coupe they decided to give us a different version of the rear clusters and wiring such that we only get the offside light.

Weird - I noticed it recently when doing my rear cluster seals, but couldn't find the energy to rectify it then. I should really cos it bugs me when lights look unbalanced like that... And two is better than one anyhoo.

When I did mine, the plug was clipped into a little holder on the light cluster, how odd that they take the time to do that, rather than just provide another bulb holder?!

I agree about unbalanced lights, its a big personal annoyance of mine too!

          Two looks better no question...

Yep. Think i'll have to go to Audi and buy the holder.
2 are definitely better than one.

On my old ABY coupe the wiring and bulb holder were already present.

I just drilled out the rear cluster and Bob's your uncle twin rear foglights.

Can't remember if I've done the Avant as well

That's what I did on my ABY coupe.

Turns out the RS2 (and presumably S2 Avant) has an individual bulb holder for the fog light. This is not present on the left hand side.

This is weird - I bought two new bulb holders last November and I don't recall having the means to plug in a foglight bulb on the left side. Sure the lens cluster was blanked off but that wouldn't have been a problem. Will investigate again someday.
