Rear wiper sticking on.

Hi guys, can anyone shed any light on this one?

Took the avant out yesterday and had to use the rear wiper for the first time since forever. When I used the rear wiper, it wouldn't cancel on the stalk and kept going until I turned the ignition off, relay down? something else? Any ideas lads?

yep i had this...simple cure was to squirt a bit of wd40 onto the contact points at the base of the stalk should cure it

Believe...

there's a 'parking circuit' in the motor gearbox that tells the 'system' where to stop the blade...so may be a motor/wiring problem.
