    code plug

I'm trying to install an ABY instalation and AAN engine with all aditions from ABY. I have got to a deadpoint. On the rihgt side just by the altitude sensor is another 6pin conector that has 4pins used. Name is T6d. The schematics say that the code plug is not in use. If that one is empty where do you get the powersuply +12V for the conection E14 (-1-) Or am I mistaken and the powersuply comes from pin 30 Motronic and that one is sending the suply for all the sensors? When does that happen. Is that only while cranking nad runing or should be there all the time. And the next problem is that the fuel pump does not start only on contact without cranking. I think that it should start for a second or two ewerytime you give the contact. I tried to simulate the ground conection for the relay J17 and in that case the pump starts. I had a problem that the loom used to have an alarm and wegfahrspere(dont know the english expresion) I crosed the relays and I get the click from a relay inside a motronic but nothing on the pump. Is it posible that the motronic I'm using has a diferent pinout since I'm using AAN motronic on a ABY loom.

AFAIK - the code plug is only used on US vehicles - for things like enabling Vmax limit.

Only EU application of code plug I know of on B3 or B4 vehicles is that its used on the factory option for the trailer wiring so that max boost is reduced when towing. Strange but true.

What schematics are you working from ?

I'm usin yours and compare it wit my 94-> I know that some wire colours are changed but I think that only the power suplies are important. Sensors and valves normaly cannot be conected wrong. The only failure that is posible would be conections from the 6pin B conector on a relay plate but I trple checked and pinout is ok. Ithink that inside driwers cab is only one ground conection and two of them in engine compartement. For alarm I had to figure out myself how the relays were working to put them away. I have one option of alarm but it is not the same as mine.

I'll be more specific: is the pinout on ABY motronic the same as on AAN? Are they intercghangable? Is it posible to conect motronic without ˝wegfahrspere˝ to a loom that used to have one and get ot runing?

There are a few very small differences... On the ABY we have boost regulation disabled if the MFTS detects very high water temp. This doesn't exist on the AAN to my knowledge. The other differences you'll encounter say looking at ABY schematic to fit that wiring into S6 (or vice versa) is that the fuse terminal numbers will almost certainly not align on both vehicles.

The ECU and Motronic pinout is identical for ABY/AAN/ADU, but watch for some mistakes / oddballs on colours.

Its the auxiliary things which are related like IMMO, Autocheck and such which might trip you up.

Check wiring here against the model year you sourced that loom from in case there are odd colours and such. Happy to help if I can !!!

Ah that's the info i need. The colours and nuber for pins is no problem since all the relay/fuse boards are the same. If it doesnt work out I'll simulate the suplies one by one, it has to work eventualy. For the Autocheck i have to do it again anywas since I'm using main loom under the dash of an audi coupe 2,3 my.:1989 without autocheck and bc. For auocheck I'll use only the most important signals water for windsheeld and stuf like that will be yust crossed. It's normaly the ground conection or open circuit maybee i do it later.
