S2 Speedometer limit -> Need for RS2 speedometer?

Hi,

Just a few weeks back I was driving thru Germany and noticed that flat-out the speedometer stops at 285 km/h, while the car was still accelerating.
Is there a hard limit of the speedometer, or is there another component that is not able to transfer the correct info the the meter?

Would a RS2 speedometer solve this issue, or will I get a wrong signal conversion from drive train to speedometer?

Yeah, on the UK speedometers there is a stop at about 172mph iirc.

The RS2 unit goes further round so if you installed one of them it should solve that problem...
