Does anyone have any idea what kit I would need to install a HID kit into my UrS6?

And how I'd go about it?
UrS6 - Homefry, Bailey DV, PiperX filter, Samco hoses, H&R springs, 3" D/P back zorst, 270bhp and 260ftlb

Triumph Daytona 955i - mmmmmm :fire:

Thanks Acidburn, I'd have thought a scattered beam would be better than a crap one, but at that price, there doesn't seem to be any harm in trying them out.

Another job to add to the ever-growing list!

You need H1 xenon kit, a suitable tool to make hole for wires. Oh, and relay installation at the same time could be recommended.
All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.

          Cheers.

Is there a "how to" anywhere?

The HIDs draw less power through the loom than the original bulbs don't they? Surely they won't need relays then.

Just had a thought, if I've got non-ellipsoid headlights, do I still need to mess about with the stalk at all?

I ordered some of these last week when the thread was first posted and they were delivered today, everything looks OK, but I'll report back when I've fitted them.

                      H1 for rs2 same as ellipsoided s2's 6000k

one thing to remember as mentioned by animal mother they do draw less current but require a "kick" to start them, when I was fitting mine the engine was not running and one of the fogs was strobing (I have hid's on the ellipsoids and fogs) so I was looking to see why it was strobing and started removing it, it was also raining at the time and to say I got a nice kick off the fogs was an understatement, i'm just glad the engine was not running as it would have been ALOT worse.

So if one of yours is strobing check the above but be carefull.

Postie left me a note saying I need to colect mine as they are too big for the letterbox, that is a quicker service than some UK based companys.

Let us know how you get on with them, please. I'm a complete goon when it comes to electronics. Did you order H1's and are they for the headlights or the foglights?

                          Thanks,

My advice would be, no problem with the kits off the _bay but look carefully at the pictures & choose a kit that takes its + & - supply from the H1 socket. That way you don't have to worry about grinding paint off to find a good earth & are less likely to have autocheck problems - & the wiring looks neater!

A 5000K bulb will give the most light output, 6000k is fine. higher numbers give an increasingly purple coloured light as well as lower light output.

I finally got round to fitting these at the weekend, now I'm no electrician but they really were easy to fit, I had them fitted in about 45mins. Only problem was that I followed the link on the Ebay sellers page ( to Phillips lighting ) which told you which bulbs go in which car. Now for a 1994 S4 it's wrong as it says the low beams are H3 not H1. So they fit and they work but beam alignment is only suitable for badger hunters! Not really what you need when your driving home at midnight I've taken them off and ordered some new H1 bulbs for £15 delivered.
