rev counter feed wire colour

anyone know the colour from the ecu of an aby for the rev counter?
i ve bough a stack rev counter that demon tweeks said would be ok
came to wire it in and can t get a feed from pin 32 as i wanted.
does anyone know another way of getting the feed?
driving me made not having a working counter

Does the stack work of the 'raw' RPM sensor coming from the engine into the ECU ?

OR

Does it work from the RPM signal coming from the ECU to the instrument cluster ?

I didn't know Stack worked with 5-cyl...

To Sal's observation - yes its a purple/lilac wire at pin 40 on ECU to the tacho but it often changes colour at a connecter block before it gets to the cluster... Its normally a green/blue wire at pin 22 on the yellow cluster connector.

new water pump being fitted today so i can get the rad back in the front.

next job an uprated clutch and curbourgh on the 2nd aug, any one else going?
