HID fitting?

Right i bought a pair of ellipsoid lights back in April and still haven't fitted them yet The car has been off the road for 6 months so thought there was no point. Well got a new MOT now and i'm BACK

Right i'll get to the question now. When you lot have fitted your HID kits (on a Avant) Is there somewhere under the bonnet to connect the + or do i have to run the cable through the car to the battery?

Not bought a HID kit as of yet but would still like to know cheers Lee

how come everyone is having to put a + or an earth cable somewhere?I have bought a couple of hid kits lately for H1 lamps and never needed to connect anything else other than the ballast to the bulb.The bulb itslelf has 2 pins to fit,both go on the headlamp internals,one on earth of the headlamp the other on + of the headlamp.(brown is always earth on audi)

All the kits i have seen on Ebay have a + cable that need connecting to the battery, so i just thought they all did. I will have a look at yours at the meet in a couple of weeks

The plus goes into the plug that goes on the standard bulb and the earth goes on to a decent earth point of your choice

Yes H1 for elipsoids

Yup, H1 bulb in 6000K is a good setup.
