    HID help!

Right i rung this place up today to see how much there kit was and said it was on offer at £79 but on the website it says £89? My main question is does it look any good to you lot as i'm after one for this weekend. Plus i don't really know what i'm looking for in a HID kit? Thanks in advance

This is the kit i'm thinking of getting.

Its under xenon HID conversion kits

basically you need to get one that is no more than 6000K so the light is actually white and doesnt go into the blue/purpule hue(8000-10000-12000K) and also you dont want anything below 6000K either cause they still look yellowish.

What i also found was that i wasnt really satisfied with the 35W bulbs/ballast kits so i went to the 55W upgrade which means that the bulbs shine wven brighter.Im very satisfied with the kit i got at about 150euro(110GBP more or less).

Good thing is that the ballasts are made by siemens and they support both 35W and 55W bulbs,so i can use either.

the shop i bought them off is from greece, but i bet you can get them shipped here as well.
Let me know if you need info.

In general the cheaper you pay,the most likely it is for the hids to last more or less about 2 years.I have changed 2 chinise kits so far,and im delighted with the current setup that it is taiwan made.

      Sounds interesting

"55 watt" and "Siemens", can you post the suppliers details in Greece?, how much was it to ship to UK?

BTW, does anyone else know of where this spec of HID kit might be available in the UK?

      Many thanks.

..... but you have said given half a chance you would go for another vagparts kit because it was better.........

here is the link directly on the product.Although the shop's page should produce letters in english,it doesnt seem to.However if you contact him directly he will send to the UK.Have a go and if nothing happens,i'll gladly communicate for those interested.
The link has the 35W bulbs and costs 139euro,but he can send the kit with the 55W bulbs as the ballasts can cope with both types.Write to him,i think the 55W kit is around 150-160euro.

anything out of china is cheap. This guy has 24months of guarentee on the products,.
also DO NOT go for the slim line series.I tried them but they dont seem to work with our cars. They are brilliant,i mean they reach the temperature almost instantly, but in mine they never turned on.Thats why i switched to the cheaper kit that he has.(siemens).He was so kind that got the kit back and sent me the other one,+a refund the next day

However i liked them so much i bought myself a second kit for the High beam, but although they are very nice, these do take some time to warm up so they are not so good for high beam.
So now i have a spare kit
