    Central locking with boot opening...

    This is wierd...
Since fixing the reversing lights, when I open the boot, all the doors lock. Even if the engine is on.

This isn't supposed to happen, right?

Sounds like the boot lock is sending a 'LOCK' command rather than the 'UNLOCK' command. Is it possible that you reversed the plug/wiring for the central locking in the boot whilst you were sorting out the other wiring problems?

      Cheers n

I only disconnected, then re-connected a couple of connectors... If I connected the boot central-locking pin wrongly, then I should see a problem with the boot lock when I try to lock with the key.
        I'll try in the morning.

        Thanks.

what did you do regards fixing the lights? my guess is the wiring where the boot meets the roof, there is a possibility it could be broken wires,i had a problem with my s2 coupe a few weeks back where the boot light was staying on,traced it back and all the wires were broken and were touching each other

i also have a simlar problem on my a6 but cant seem to find time to fix it,in fact most 1990's audis i come across need doing.

Yeah, it was a broken wire in the boot hinge.
