    hi aron

    you have 2 sensors.

one has got two contacts, one for the gauge and one for the 1.8bar switch (i think)

the other sensor with only one contact is also a oil-pressure switch, this i think is until 0.2bar oil pressure.

i´m not sure which switch is in which sensor but no matter about that one of these is broken.

the 0.2bar switch gives the signal if the oil pressure is smaller than 0.2bar on revs till 2000 i think.

the 1.8bar switch gives signal from 2000 revs on.

i´m not sure if the values are the correct ones but this is the way it works.

your oil pressure gauge is working fine, but this doesn´t matter. it could be one of the two switches broken.

Another problem could be a broken oil pressure relay underneath the steering wheel. This could only be if you´re having a S2 3B. The S2 ABY don´t have the relay.

The sensor with the single contact is the 1.8 bar one and if faulty will make autocheck buzz and show the oil symbol as you pass through 2000 RPM. It's also the one well known for leaking and as OE on ABY fitted below the sensor with two contacts.

The two contact sensor is the oil pressure gauge feed and the 0.3 bar sensor.

The 0.3 bar sensor shorts to earth until the pressure builds so if the wire to it is broken it will look to autocheck as though all is well.

The 1.8 bar sensor works the other way, it shorts to earth when the pressure reaches 1.8 bar so autocheck will trigger at 2000 rpm if the wire to it is broken.
