Wiring help needed please

Hi all
After the last few weeks of hell,we are now very short of cash,been offered a job on an Audi 80.....a K reg .....non factory immbolizer set up

The customer had fitted himself an aftermarket radio,and got his wiring messed up causing a thermal incerdent........a alot of burnt wires

Hes got...a replacement loom from same engine size off the internet,looks complete with the ignition reed coil key barrel and immbolizer box,

MY QUESTION (possibly dumb I know)


Will it be a matter of removing old loom and fitting replacement one?
Will the fact that old system was imbolizerless work with new loom...........bloke not interessted in imbolizer......if problem ,can it be bypassed?



USING HIS OLD ENGINE ECU

any info/thoughts would be great

For obvious reasons I don't publish all the immo related stuff on my site, but I do have all the schematics... There was a few variations on this stuff across B3/B4 so I'll need to know what years and engine codes are involved for those looms.

The general rule is that the older systems are less complex, but when you crossover looms then it is indeed wise to check that all is as you would expect.
