ive earth'd both hid direct to the battery and it was fine for a while and now flickering again the ballast is behind the headlight between the plastic cover cable tied... i think it flickers when it moves or could it be a faulty bulb...
has anyone else had this problem... some input would be grateful!Comment

Your ballasts are defective. Had the same prob with mine and sent them back, and they gave me a whole new set with bulbs, ballasts and wiring.sigpic <<<V-TECH THIS...you Honda punks!!!Comment

30 amp!!! Your fuses would have blown if the fuse was a problem.. I've upped my fuses to 15 amps but 30 is madness!1994 Audi S2 Avant - in pieces

Flickering HID's ....I've had extensive experience with this.
The reason HID's flicker is because of a parasitic problem. In my experience installing these in other cars I have found one crucial problem...no matter if the set is good or bad. If you piggy back the power from one relay, one or the other HID ballast will steal most of the power going to the system. Usually the closer one to the relay will do it.
You can not run this type of kit off of one relay. I have done the following & have experienced no flickering, immediate ignition and same volume of lite from both bulbs.
1/ From one fuse I split the (+) into 2 separate lines which...
2/ Feed 2 separate relays....
3/ They in turn use the same OEM trigger wire in the harness which fed the original lites.
4/ Both lites & relays are grounded to the fender bolt holding the fender to the main body.
5/ The ballasts are also grounded to the body. Under no circumstances are you to ground the system to either the OEM wiring harness or Battery.
