it boost up ok in the cold but when its warm runs lumpy cuts out and smells of fule.

Cuts out? Like after a hard run and you stop at a junction?

has anyone tried a boost leak test on it? That would be the first thing i'd try after pulling the codes and seeing what happens.

you have to kontr the ingnitin switch( behind the keylock), and the earth( ground) ... thats the most typicl fail in audis....
if you have low volt att the battery poles; you have to change the regulator in the generator to a bigger one ( marked to 15v).... gives 14,7-14,8 att the battery.do not cost mutch..

iv just had a full set of custom sam cos on it and new inter cooler holds boost on a normel drive it just cuts out coming to any stop.

i have herd about the problem iv gone though the whole wiring loom and checked it all out and it seems to be ok

Mine used to cut out, i replace the ignition switch as the 17 years with heavy keys on it had killed it.
