so after seeing fitzy's and my avant you decided to go for it then

I have 55w on my s2, defo worth it, same as fitzy's.

my avant lights when clean did not scatter much and showed the markings on the lens perfectly, its better when on the move you can really make them out as you saw on sunday.

Mine fitted on the plastic plate in front of the airbox behind the headlight between the airbox trumpet and the inner wing, but it's a little tight and your ballast might be larger.

Mine was actually underneath the headlight as there was easily enough room there

opted to wrap mine in heat reflective fabric and it slotted nicely under the airbox on a sticky pad and fixed onto an M10 thread which was looking lonely

Just waiting for it to go dark and i can go see how illuminating an experience it is to drive with HID's

I'm hoping to fit mine this week sometime, currently my car time (about 15 mins a day) is used on the Polo so I can sell it.

What can i say...it's taken 8 yrs of ownership but this is by far the best £50 I've spent on the car.

Installed my 55w HID kit today and even for an electrical dunce like me, it was plain sailing. The difference is unbelievable, for the first time i'm able to see reflections from painted lines on the road and the throw of light is miles

Even better, no autocheck warnings, safe to say i'm a happy bunny!

                        couple of pics:

                        Really dull stock projector

                        Difference between stock and HID...

Nightfall and finally some confidence inspiring candles

Fogs next and I think maybe a set for the A6 too.

Glad you got it sorted but damn you and your pearl car I want a pearl one now

think I might see if I can have the amount of pearl upped in mine when its resprayed, could have it done pearl white.

I'm seriously tempted to have mine resprayed in this colour, think it would look good with what I have planned for it.
