AAN or ABY wiring harness in Coupe -92

    Hello,
Iam putting a AAN engine in my Coupe -92 and was wondering if I can use the AAN wiring harness on the Coupe or would it be easier to buy and install a 3B or ABY wiring harness? And I think 3B/ABY and AAN harness is the same on engine side?
And is there any diffrent between 3B and ABY wiring harness?
    Thanks for the help!

You can integrate the AAN harness to work in your coupe, however it will take some time and it quite a bit of work. Unless you are very good at wiring, I would recommend buying a harness.

3B and ABY harnesses are different, the major difference being that the 3b is timed and fired by the distributor, the ABY is more similar to the AAN and is a coil on plug system.

Biggest problem with using AAN harness on Coupe is that fusebox sections are very different between these car types. This can be easily overcome if you are good at wiring, but life is easier with an ABY loom from S2 on an AAN transplant into a Coupe.

Your best off as paul said with a ABY loom and ecu, i am thinking the fuel pump and a few other parts will also need to be looked at. The atmospheric pressure sensor will not be in the coupe as well.

The Easiest way by far would be to take all! wiring from a ABY coupe. As the fuse box and relays are going to be different.

Fusebox is the same for Coupes but the way its wired for different relay usage is indeed different. Grafting in an ABY loom into any old Coupe is not a job for anyone afraid of car electrics !
