Intermittent boot central locking failure & rear wiper

Every so often the boot on my Coupe doesn't unlock with the rest of the locks.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Also my rear windscreen wiper stays on and won't turn off until the engine is turned off, read that squirting WD40 on the stalk could help but not sure where to put it exactly...

Had same as you on the tailgate lock... the mechanism seizes up... easy enough to remove with care of how the two rods clip in - then two lil bolts remove it.

Had to study it a while lying inside car with remote control fob to see what was and wasnt happening first of all.

With it removed some penetrating oil loosened it up enough to unlock when the pushrod actuated it... Goes with a good loud thunk now - better that than nothin though.

As for your rear wiper - maybe the relay under rear seat playing up. See if you can try someone elses
