original alarm???

Hi guys, i found an alarm horn and some wiring and a print in the left rear wing of my avant today, wiring and position of the stuff looks pretty original?
I havent heard about this neither from the former owner, can anybody enlighten me?
It´s controled by the key cylinder as i can hear it beep when i lock the door, and it started up flashing and beeping the other night

yeah sounds like the original alarm, some had it some didn't think it was mostly late model avants, jamo's has it and so do a couple of others i know about.

Is it only light and horn or is it also a imobiliser?
I havent got any lightbulps in the dash either

I've got it too, there are no lights on the dash as you say. I am not sure about the immobilizer though to be honest. I love it's little 'toot' when it locks!

robert : hehe, same here, horn started up a month ago, thought it was the pump for the central locking, good i dident change it then LOL

Mines got it. Saved the car from being stolen some years ago when some w...ker tried to take the car. They opened the bonnett to deal with the clifford and then the factory went off in the back

They left shortly afterwards at speed.

Any idea how hard this would be to remove? Ny car has the original alarm and is making my indicators play up and also interfeering with my cat 1. I know its the alarm because when i take fuse 10 out it stops the problems!
