Difference between RHD and LHD aux gauges

I just noticed different connectors and aux gauges for RHD and LHD RS2 and S2 cars. The LHD 3B, RHD 3B and RHD RS2 aux gauges seem to consist of 3 seperate gauges and share similar connectors.

The LHD RS2 and LHD ABY aux gauges share another connector type and the gauges are enclosed in one housing. See pictures for differences.

Notice also the 2 black dots on the white plates of the RHD RS2 aux dials, compared to the complete white LHD RS2 aux gauges.

Does someone know of a conversion connector to replace a LHD aux gauge with a RHD version?

Thats rather curious - never heard of this one before... I dunno if it has anything to do with LHD vs RHD or even RS2 vs ABY... I suspect it was a generic change somewhere along the way. One of those is an early design - the other is later. Will try to find out more... Good find !

Weird but true... Family album shows that LHD RS2 does indeed have different aux guages than the three separate ones called up for RHD RS2.
There was also a change from MY95 onwards.

And also on LHD S2 and other Audi 80 - looks like single integrated part - but its three separate gauges on RHD.

And also the loom towards the aux gauges changed, because it has another type of connector (male vs. female variants)

If you have a LHD S2 with 3B engine than your remark logical. Read my first post where I mention all LHD 3B S2 cars have 3 seperate gauges. If I am correct the difference in aux gauge types seems only valid for LHD and RHD S2 Avant and RS2 cars.

I do not know if a LHD S2 ABY Coupe has a single gauge unit or 3 seperate gauges. If someone can check this we get the complete picture.
