How to run the fuel pump without starting?

Anybody know whats the easyist way to jump start the fuel pump without turning the engine over? I have just changed the fuel filter and want to pressurise the system to check for leaks...

I always thought this was weird as my CQ20v primes the pump for a few seconds every time you turn the ignition on. S2 only turns the pump on once the engine is turning over

    Cheers,

    Mark.

Or, remove fuel pump relay in the fusebox (marked 208 on top, front row fourth from the left) and bridge terminals 30, 87 and 87a.

That sounds more like it, do you know what the three pins are? or why you jumper all three?

If i can find out which sends + power to the pump i can plug some juice into it.

              Thanks,

              Mark.

You don't need to jumper all three...

Remove relay 10 in the main fusebox and bridge terminals 48 and 52 - these map to terminals 30 and 87 on the relay - this then runs the fuel pump.

                    oh, unusual...
why not start the car on the axle stands? (if it stands correct ofcourse) that is an easy way and this is how i do to check leaks..

He he I wondered why bridging three terminals too, but was following an old post of yours when I checked my fuel filter for leaks the other week.
                      It worked so

Ahhh recent info is better - I've been looking at these darned wiring diagrams a LOT recently... The other terminal just provides switched power to other engine components. That 87 pin is just for the fuel pump.

or pull the cover off the relay and push the contacts together
