fuel gauge....

hi all... my fuel gauge keeps playing up, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.... what could it be?

are your dials peeling?because it could be sticking.try banging on the dash,above the dial surround,and see if it jumps up,the next time it doesn't work.i thought someone had drained my tank once.then i hit the dash and it shot up.

Imho,

I would suggest it may be a dry solder joint on the back of the dash's clocks.

Take the clocks unit out and reheat all of the solder joints and it should do it ?
