New Member and 3B Vagcom wiring issues

Hi All been a lurker for a while now but finally need to ask a question

I have a Urq with a 3b in it thanks to MR Tonks the car had been off the road for a while mid V8 project but Bry came to my rescue with the 3b engine to get it out the garage and back on the road

anyway I've been trying to connect my vag com, I have found the K line and L line the wires with the ring terminals on the end. I have also found the Power supply to it from a 2pin black plug but it doesn't work when connected, the Interface tests ok so I'm a bit stuck

I've tested the k line to make sure it hasn't got 12V on it (It was showing 1.2V)

So am I missing something here?

Gaz have a look in that pile of wiring that John boy left you. There should be another diagnostic plug (white plug with 2 green wires to it, one has got a ring terminal on it.) If you find it i'll shoot up and give you a hand.
