  • 3B upgrade to coils, which type?

    Hello,

I was wondering if it's any other than the 034MS coils I can use when I an going to upgrade. Dont look the look of it,looks messy, and I've read about some people having alot of problems with them ( this can ofcourse be installation failure of some of people I was thinking of some from MSD but I dont know which one. Tips anyone?

Your 3B has a single coil ignition. As far as I know, the 034 Motor Sport *coils* (as opposed to coil) are for the AAN, ABY and ADU with the five coil set up. To run a five coil system on your 3B, you would need an ABY ECU and engine harness and then convert your distributor hall sensor to work with the ABY ECU.

Yeah I know, but I saw that it is a upgrade/ replacement system.

As URS4 said the systems you are talking of are aimed at 1 coil per cylinder unlike the 3B that uses 1 coil. Or do you Just mean leads and boots?

you can use this coil as an upgrade for the 3b. Is a link there for the wireing.

You can probaly use a msd 6a with street blaster coil also. It only needs trigger signal from the ecu and some power

Link to the 034 wiring info:

I think the MSD coil would be easier.
